As you may be aware back in December 2013 Adele took part in the Boxing Day dip to raise money and awareness for Georgia Hart. Georgia suffers from a rare condition called Friedreich's Ataxia (FA). FA is a disease that attacks and causes damage to the nervous system, it is a potentially life threatening disease.
Since Georgia’s diagnosis her family and friends have worked tremendously hard to raise funds, in order to secure her a place on a new drug trial based in Philadelphia, USA. All the money raised will go towards Georgia’s travel and treatment.
Here at TACS we fully support Georgia and are happy to give as much as we can for this great cause, we recently raised £150 when sponsoring Lizzie Webb at New College Durham, who successfully completed a half marathon, a huge congratulations to Lizzie!
We would also like to say thank you to everyone who has given or supported the Save a Hart campaign, there is still a way to go so please donate where possible.
If you would like to donate or keep updated on Georgia progress please see her just giving page http://www.shareagift.com/Pages/1323
