Valuable Feedback

Communisis, Liverpool

I have really enjoyed the course, the way it was presented, content and how the tasks were based in our work place.

The guidance, prompting where required and overall support was much appreciated and the most professional that I have come across.

Peter Strange, Production Manager

CEPAC, Darlington

As SCA transitioned into CEPAC and moved from multinational to leading independent, change was always likely to figure high on the agenda.

Soon after the acquisition by CEPAC in early 2013 we introduced NVQ Level 2 Business Improvement Training (BIT) there is no selection criteria, all employees are encouraged to participate in lifelong learning and TACS Ltd have been flexible and met our needs with minimum impact to the business.

On one hand the key operational reason for this commitment is to promote the lean philosophy with continuous improvement training, moreover the combination of techniques and mind-set that drive performance and value for our customers. TACS Ltd have worked closely with the management team to understand the business and its customers, linking this understanding into the learners training enabling the business to move forward as one.

We would like to thank Rob for his engaging delivery, supported by Albert, Rick and the team for making this training an agent for change within our ever evolving industry.

John Jackson, General Manager

“As a business we had been searching for a training partner to help us introduce and sustain Lean Manufacturing using the core principals of Kaizen. From our very first session with Rob it was very clear our search was over and we entered into an agreement that has started to transform our culture towards a Continuous Improvement philosophy. Rob and the TACS team have been instrumental in driving the change from the Management team to the shop floor and have gone above and beyond to facilitate and support the training and transformation here at our Darlington site”

Stephen Digby, Operations Manager

TACS Ltd, have to date delivered over 70 Apprenticeships in Improving Operational Performance BIT Level 2 at Magnet, Darlington.  The scheme has been well received by both the employees and the organisation.  Magnet has embarked on a ‘Lean’ journey and are utilising the qualifications offered by TACS Ltd to underpin their overall strategy.  The Improving Operational Performance BIT Level 2 is an excellent foundation for employees to gain the knowledge and understanding of lean principles. Enabling learners to support and understand the implementation of change within the organisation.

Simon Hay, Distribution Manager commented:

The delivery of over 70 apprenticeships has been invaluable in supporting the cultural change within Magnet towards developing and implementing lean processes within logistics. The support given to educate colleagues on lean principles and the opportunity to work in cross functional teams on real ongoing business challenges has played a significant part in the overall improvement of both health and safety and productivity. Colleagues engagement is key to sustaining a lean culture within the workplace and the apprenticeships have definitely supported this.

Tridonic Atco, Spennymoor

TACS Ltd recently completed a Business Improvement Techniques NVQ Level 2 in Tridonic. The assessment team had to be flexible when it came to delivering the program, to fulfil the needs of the learners.

“The learners were understandably concerned at first as to how they would fit the time in to complete this qualification along with their day to day working and their Green Belt projects, however, these concerns quickly vanished. This was due mainly to the efforts of the assessor who was extremely flexible and understanding and scheduled the visits around when it best suited the learners. The assessor built up a very good working relationship with all learners and this relationship certainly helped to meet the time scales.”

“All learners completed the BIT NVQ program on time and this is credit to the assessor as his determination to complete the projects was endless.”
